Actress Nazish Jahangir Faces Bail Rejection in Fraud Case
A Lahore court on Friday rejected Pakistani actress Nazish Jahangir request for temporary bail because she didn’t appear in court. An FIR (police report) was filed against her by fellow actor Azan Aswad Haroon, accusing her of fraud.
The FIR, under Section 420 of the Pakistan Penal Code, claims Nazish Jahangir, who knew Aswad Haroon from the entertainment industry, borrowed his car and Rs2.5 million for a project, promising to return them in two months. However, six months have passed, and she has not returned them.
The court has now canceled the actress’s pre-arrest bail. However, the interim bail for her co-accused, Sikandar, has been extended until the first week of October. This case is getting a lot of attention because Nazish Jahangir is a well-known media personality.
