The Legends of Maula Jatt Release Postponed in India
Pakistan’s blockbuster film Legends of Maula Jatt has been banned in Indian cinemas. According to Indian media, Superstar Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan’s blockbuster film Legends of Maula Jatt was supposed to be released today in the theaters of Indian Punjab, but now its release has been postponed.
Indian media said that the film distributor of ‘Legends of Maula Jatt’ in India and Pakistani film producer Nadeem Mandviwala confirmed the news about the postponement of the film’s release and said that the film has been stopped due to a court order.
Nadeem Mandviwala said, “Unfortunately the release of the film has been stalled once again and nothing can be done until the court gives its verdict”.
It should be noted that earlier Hindu extremists in India have also threatened to stop the release of the Pakistani film ‘Legends of Maula Jatt’ in India.
The MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) has been voicing its opinion against the release of the Pakistani film in India. As per reports, the President of MNS Cinema Wing, Ameya Khopkar, told ANI, “We will not entertain any Pakistani film or actors in India”.
It should be noted that the remake of the 1979 classic Maula Jatt, ‘Legends of Maula Jatt’ was released in 2022 and did record-breaking business worldwide.
The Legends of Maula Jatt, starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, shattered records at the box office and made around Pakistani ₹400 crores in both the domestic and international markets.
